2022 Report: Proactive Approaches to Men’s Suicide Prevention

This year an evaluation was completed by Assoc Prof Emma George, Director, Centre for Male Health, University of Western Sydney. The evaluation is titled “Proactive Approaches to Men’s Suicide Prevention: Mentoring Men” with positive findings on our free one-to-one life mentoring program for men.

The key findings from this report centre around our program’s effectiveness on:

  • breaking down barriers of traditional masculinity and stigma
  • the magic of mentoring
  • providing safe spaces to share

We are very proud of the findings from this report confirming the impact the Mentoring Men program is having in supporting men’s mental health and wellbeing, particularly in early intervention suicide prevention.
